ALL ABILITIES HOCKEY

The All Abilities Summer Skills program gives children the opportunity to participate and experience the many benefits of learning a team sport. The program has been developed to support diverse physical and intellectual abilities. Experienced Hockey ACT coaches will guide participants through the essential skills of hockey as well as many other skills transferable to other sports. The aim of the program is to equip players to transition into mainstream hockey programs.

Participants may bring their own equipment, alternatively, Hockey ACT can provide participants with a stick and ball for each session. Equipment includes but are not limited to the below options:

 

Stick options

  • Plastic hockey sticks
  • Large Plastic JBall sticks
  • Optional stick straps can be attached/detached as needed.

 

Ball options

  • Soft balls
  • Lighter balls
  • Bell/chime balls

 

Accessibility

Our indoor areas including the indoor hall have fluorescent lighting. Guide and service animals welcome on all areas outside of the pitch. If at any stage you need a quiet place to go, please ask one of our coaches or staff who will happily help you find a suitable space. If you require wheelchair access, please ask one of our coaches or staff who will happily assist you. Safety

Enclosed footwear must be worn at all times. No scooters or bicycles on the turf (manual wheelchair and mobility walkers exempt). All children must have a parent/carer with them while at the facility
