Chills & Skills Program


Hockey ACT is running 8 weeks of Chills & Skills sessions commencing Wednesday 16th October 2024.

The sessions are the perfect opportunity for new players to try Hockey and to allow junior players to develop their skills over the summer. Open to all children 10 years and under, the sessions will run on Wednesday afternoons between 4:00pm – 5:00pm at the National Hockey Centre in Lyneham.

Participants will get the opportunity to practice their skills on the outdoor fields, improving coordination, spacial awareness and overall game sense. Sessions are led by Hockey ACT coaches and will be modified to suit the skill level of players.

Location: Carter Field, National Hockey Centre Lyneham

Time: 4:30pm-5:30pm

Open to children 10 years and under

All participants will receive a free entry to all Canberra Chill home games

 

2 - Step Registration Process

If you have played Hookin2Hockey in 2024, you will be directed to log in when you register for Chills & Skills.

New players will need to pay the Hookin2Hockey Term 4 2024 insurance levy.
Please click sign up, and choose the Term 4 2024 HACT Hookin2Hockey Player Membership.

$10 per session
$60 for 8 weeks

Mouthguards and shin pads are recommended, participants may bring their own hockey stick, otherwise a stick will be provided by Hockey ACT. Please contact participation@hockeyact.org.au to discuss options.
