2022 Hockey ACT Life Membership Nominations

On behalf of the Hockey ACT Board, Hockey ACT are calling for Life Membership nominations for Hockey ACT. Please note that applications will close on Friday 18 March 2022.

In calling for nominations Hockey ACT would like to acknowledge the following:

1. The awarding of Life membership is the ultimate accolade that the Association can bestow on any member for service to Hockey ACT;
2. Details regarding who and how nominations can be submitted can be found in the HACT General By-laws under section 10;
3. HACT acknowledge that timelines set out in section 10 have been missed however given the stature of the award that the process should continue with new timelines in place.

A nomination has to be made in writing by the nominating group and seconded by another nominating group to the Chief Executive Officer at least three months prior to the AGM. Each nomination must include a detailed document that addresses the matters set out below:

1. that the individual meets at least one of the requirements outlined in 10.3;
2. the individual’s contribution to the Association has been exceptional and beyond what would be normally expected from any individual; and
3. the individual’s personal character reflects the values of the Association.

Any individual can be nominated on the following basis:

1. Exceptional contribution to the administration of the sport and the Association; and/or
2. Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills; and/or
3. Ongoing and consistent demonstration and support of the values of the Association; and/or
4. Exceptional contribution as a player, umpire, coach, official or volunteer.
