Ahead of the first training session, the Canberra Chill are excited to announce their full training squads for the sophomore season of their Sultana Bran Hockey One campaign.
The squads consist of international level players, state representatives and local all-stars. Many of the names will be familiar to the Canberra community, with some new faces joining too. With the first 5 signings announced in July, the Canberra Chill Men and Women will have 26 players per squad. In addition, up to 5 train-on players have been invited to join the squads for training opportunities.
“We are pleased to announce our squads today following a successful All Stars Series.” Canberra Chill High Performance Director, Ben Bishop said. “It is exciting to get things started with our local athletes as we work towards the second season of Hockey One. It is also exciting to welcome a number of new athletes to our squads this year showing the depth of talent we have in Canberra”.
Training commences Monday 2nd August, 2021, and will continue into the lead up to competition in October. Throughout training the squads will be reduced, with a final 20-person team selected for each.
All-in-all it’s set to be an exciting few months for the Canberra Chill, and hockey in the Capital Region.
