The Annual Chris MacKinnon Memorial Weekend Is back for 2022!

The Chris MacKinnon Memorial Weekend is an annual Hockey ACT event where the hockey community goes pink to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. The weekend has been running since 2013 in honour of one of the Hockey ACT community Life Members, Chris MacKinnon, who sadly lost her breast cancer battle in January 2013.

Since the event's inception, the Hockey ACT community have managed to raise over $115,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). This is a fantastic effort and we appreciate the support we have received from our community.

Hockey ACT encourages our hockey community to Pink it up for the round and accessorise with all things pink (hair ribbons, wrist bands, bandanas).

New to 2022, our two marquee CL1 games for the weekend between United and Central, have been split across the weekend with the Men playing on Saturday followed by the Women on the Sunday. The decision for this was to extend the weekend, ensuring greater coverage for all participants.

Bidding starts at $50. Offers open at 3.00pm on Friday 12th August, 2022, and close at 11.59pm on Sunday 14th August, 2022.
The winner will be notified on Monday 15th August, 2022, with the donation to be made to the NBCF by Wednesday 17th August, 2022.
