Pathway Programs Update

Published Fri 25 Nov 2022

Hockey ACT is excited to relaunch its Emerging Pathways Program in 2023. The Emerging Chill program (formerly Emerging Talent Squad) will provide development opportunities for high potential athletes through skill development trainings, tactical analysis, strength and conditioning programming and high-performance workshops.

These squads have been selected based on performances at national championships, school sport events and local competition fixtures. The Emerging Chill squads will be assessed regularly based on performances from within and outside of the group.

Congratulations to the following athletes selected in the 2023 emerging chill squads:

*** Current ACTAS athletes were not considered for selection for this program.

New National Athlete Pathway Program head coach Matt Cook will lead the emerging program in 2023. “The Emerging Chill program is an important part of our development pathway at Hockey ACT. Unfortunately, this cohort has missed out on many development opportunities over the last few years due to covid. This program will provide holistic development opportunities for this important cohort.” said Cook.

Hockey ACT would like to thank former National Athlete Pathway Program Head Coach Ben Bishop, Hockey ACT Talent Coach Aaron Hopkins who helped develop the squads and the Hockey ACT coaching staff who provided feedback and reports from national championships performances.

More exciting announcements on Performance and Pathway programs are expected in early 2023.
