Walking Hockey is a modified version of traditional hockey, the slower and lower impact format makes the game more accessible and inclusive for all. The game is played with a softer ball, smaller field and simpler rules to increase engagement and enjoyment of the game. It can be played indoors or outdoors on grass, concrete or artificial grass making Walking Hockey extremely adaptable.
Who can play?
Walking Hockey is perfect for players who are looking for a less physically demanding version of hockey, but still enjoy showing off their skills and being involved in a team and social aspect. It is also perfect for players who are brand new to hockey who may be more comfortable in a less competitive format. Walking Hockey is a great "next step" as a transition from the All Abilities Program. If you have participated in the All Abilities Program before, you can consider using your skills at Walking Hockey.
